Russia's Russia has unveiled plans to roll out submarine cable infrastructure in the Arctic for use by large ports and oil and gas companies

According to preliminary plans, the trans-Arctic submarine cable will extend from the northwestern port of Murmansk to the Pacific port city of Vladivostok, covering a total length of more than 10,000 kilometers

The first phase of the submarine cable deployment is expected to take place in 2021, with the entire project scheduled for completion
in 2026.
