ROHM Group announces further investment to expand German PMMA production capacity

Recently, ROHM announced the expansion of production facilities for PLEXIGLAS molding compounds in Worms (Germany) and Shanghai (China)

Now, ROHM has furthered the company's growth by further expanding its production capacity for impact-resistant PLEXIGLAS, ROHM's polymethyl methacrylate ( PMMA ) brand

A new section is currently being added to a plant in Worms that produces impact-resistant PLEXIGLAS Resist special molding compounds
.
The plant is scheduled to start production as early as June 2022
.
Chief Operating Officer (COO) Hans-Peter Hauck: "As a reliable partner for our customers worldwide, we will be able to guarantee optimal delivery reliability and flexibility".
Thanks to the modular concept, further phases of potential expansion are also planned

ROHM's PLEXIGLAS Resist molding compounds are especially in high demand in the automotive, construction and lighting industries; they are also used in many home appliance applications

"By expanding our production capacity, we are responding to the continued high demand for impact-resistant materials," said Siamak Djafarian, senior vice president of the Molding Compounds business unit

Impact-resistant PLEXIGLAS is particularly suitable for applications requiring durability, UV and weather resistance, and higher impact strength
