A few days ago, Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, launched the first photovoltaic inverter production line - Shams
.
The line is produced through KACO in partnership with local company Advanced Electronics Company (AEC) to produce the first locally manufactured solar inverters
.
Shams will thus also become the first inverter
in the country to comply with local production regulations for renewable energy tenders.
KACO and AEC have signed several agreements to commit to partner localization and transmission
.

in Saudi Arabia.
Our activities reflect the government's commitment to homegrown advanced energy technologies that will help support national strategic goals such as job creation, diversification of economic resources, and technology transfer

Given our company's strengths in local manufacturing, testing, commissioning, local support, repair and maintenance, AEC will add value
to localized Shams PV inverters.
Al-Shibl went on to say that by reducing shipping and waiting times, as well as reducing project costs, local manufacturing operations will help customers
