Recently, all 7 platforms in the largest block of Kenli 6-1 Oilfield, a 100-million-ton oilfield in Bohai, have completed offshore installation, laying the foundation
for the project to be put into production on schedule.

It can drive 1 million cars for more than 20 years
Kenli 6-1 Oilfield is the first 100 million ton large-scale oilfield explored and discovered in the northern area of Laizhou Bay in Bohai, China, and the largest crude oil production project under construction in 2022 in Bohai Oilfield, China's largest crude oil production base, with proven geological reserves of more than 100 million tons, which can be used for 1 million cars for more than 20 years
after completion and operation.
According to reports, the central processing platform completed this time weighs more than 15,000 tons, which is currently the heaviest oil production platform in the Bohai Sea, and can accommodate 80 employees into production
at the same time.
The project uses a dual-line operation mode, coordinates and directs the simultaneous operation of two fleets, and efficiently completes the offshore installation of 14 structural monomers, with a cumulative installed weight of 36,000 tons
.
The ocean has become the main force for increasing oil and gas reserves
In 2012, the report of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed "building a maritime power" for the first time, setting strategic goals
for the development of China's marine industry.
In the same year, the first sixth-generation ultra-deepwater semi-submersible drilling platform independently designed and built by China was officially drilled, which opened the curtain
on China's oil and gas development to advance into deep water.
Since then, China has formed a "deep-water fleet" represented by "Offshore Oil 201" and "Offshore Oil 720", successively overcome world-class technical problems such as conventional deepwater, ultra-deepwater and deepwater high temperature and high pressure, innovated the deepwater development model, formed a series of deepwater technology systems with independent intellectual property rights, and has the ability to operate from deep water to ultra-deep water, the whole sea area and all-round operation, making China leap to become one of
the countries in the world that can independently carry out deepwater oil and gas exploration and development.

In October, CNOOC announced that it had made another major breakthrough in exploration in the Qiongdongnan Basin in the southeast of Hainan Island, discovering China's first deep-water deep atmospheric field 21-1, with proven geological reserves of more than 50 billion cubic meters, achieving the largest breakthrough
in the Songnan-Baodao depression in more than half a century.
At present, China has discovered more than ten large and medium-sized oil and gas fields in relevant deep-water areas, successfully realized the independent development of deepwater oil and gas fields, and deepwater oil and gas has become an important source of
oil and gas reserves and production in China.
Taking deep-sea natural gas production as an example, China's marine natural gas production reached 19.
6 billion cubic meters in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 1 billion cubic meters, an increase of 5.
4%.
