    China News Service, Kunming, November 23 (Reporter Hu Yuanhang) The reporter learned from the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences on the 23rd that the scientific research team of the garden has successfully isolated and obtained the fluorescent umbilical mushroom.


    According to reports, there are about 700 species of organisms in nature that can emit light by themselves, mainly including luminescent bacteria in microorganisms, marine organisms such as jellyfish, squid, fish, shrimp, a few insects such as fireflies, very few plant species and some fungi groups


    There are currently 108 species of luminescent fungi reported in the world.
