Spanish energy group Repsol said it was investing more than 18 million euros to increase production of polymer polyols at its plant in Tarragona, Spa.
Polyol
The company seeks to expand capacity with a second material reactor and increase its product portfolio with higher-quality materials for furniture, bedding and automoti.
The company said the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2023, and the plant will use new technology developed by scientists at Repsol's technical laborato.
Repsol currently operates an Alcupol branded polyol production line in Tarragona with a total capacity of 140,000 tonnes/ye.
