The conference released the 2020 list and indicators of benchmarking companies in the energy efficiency of 20 products such as crude oil processing in the petroleum and chemical industries

Up to now, the Petrochemical Federation has carried out industry energy efficiency "leader" release activities for 10 consecutive years.
The key products participating in the selection have increased from 10 in 2011 to 20 in 2020, and the coverage has expanded to 33

The meeting also released for the first time the list and indicators of water efficiency "leading runners" for 11 products including oil refining, ethylene, and synthetic ammonia

At present, many petrochemical large and medium-sized enterprises have established a three-level water-saving management network, implemented strict planned management of water consumption, included water-saving projects in the company's annual cost-reduction and efficiency-increasing major technical research projects, and the industry's water-saving management system was initially established

Shi Zuoting, deputy director of the National Energy Conservation Center, said in his speech that energy conservation, improved energy efficiency, and reduction of fossil energy consumption from the source are the basis and key means for reducing carbon emissions

The conference also held a forum on energy and water conservation and carbon peak carbon neutrality, introduced the development trend of national energy-saving technologies and water-saving policies, and interpreted China’s carbon peak carbon neutral strategy and petrochemical industry policies.
