Mondi, a global leader in the packaging and paper industry, is working with Japanese consumer goods manufacturer Kao to create a recyclable, lightweight packaging solution for its Goldwell shiny hair produc.
Goldwell is a high-quality hairdressing brand under the Kao Hairstyling Division, the fourth largest professional haircare company in the wor.
Mondi's innovative solution packs powdered products in reusable stand-up pouches, which are made from a single material and are fully recyclab.
Empty bags can be folded flat to ensure efficient transport to the facto.
"The solution we developed with Kao is specific to one of these products with particularly sensitive chemical ingredients, so we need to always think about the safety and quality of the packaging," said Iris Ross, Consumer Regional Sales at Mondix Flexible Packagi.
Elmar Mussenbrock, Director of Sustainability at Kao Hairdressing, added: "Sustainable packaging is one of the key elements of our ESG strategy and reducing plastic is our top priori.
