    On May 31, 2022, the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency) Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) supported the proposal to limit lead in ammunition used in hunting, outdoor sport shooting and fishing, while the RAC recommended a shortened transition time to phase out the use of hunting lead gun

    The Risk Assessment Committee believes that the use of lead in these activities presents uncontrollable risks

    The proposed restriction is believed to reduce the risk of lead to humans, wildlife (especially birds) and the environment

    The Socio-Economic Analysis Council (SEAC) is expected to agree to its opinion draft in early June, with final results due in December
