.
Prysmian and Talesun Solar sign a supply agreement for the Cauchari Solar Park
The Cauchari Solar Park includes a 315 MW photovoltaic power plant located in the province of Jujuy near the northwestern border of Chile, which is also one of
the most solar energy resources in the world.
The solar park will be able to generate an average of 55,073 MWh of electricity per month and will be delivered to a 345-kilovolt line connecting the Chilean Andes town with the town of Cobos in the Salta province, providing the Argentine system with 660887 MWh per year for 20 years
.
As part of the Belt and Road Initiative and related expansions, the Cauchari Solar Park is the first project
officially signed by the Argentine and Chinese governments.
Prysmian Group will supply more than 3,600 km of instrumentation and control, medium voltage, low voltage and solar cables from the Tianjin and Yixing plants in China, more than 1,100 medium voltage fittings and connectors from the Yixing plant in China, 100 Pry-Cam grids for monitoring and 1 Pry-Cam portable grid equipment from Prysmian Electronics, as well as monitoring services
provided by the Argentina team.
"We take advantage of synergies within the group and work closely with different regions and relevant teams to meet the complex requirements
of the project.
" Matteo Bavaresco, CEO of Prysmian Group China, said this was a milestone example
of the Group's global integration and teamwork.
"The project clearly proves that developers of renewable energy power plants see more and more monitoring services as part of their scope of work, as they realize that condition assessment and asset management are essential
for the effective operation of the plant.
" Roberto Candela, CEO of Prysmian Electronics, added that Pry-Cam is a revolutionary solution that meets customer needs
