Prysmann Group, the world's largest cable company, has received an order
for 200 million euros worth of submarine cables for offshore wind farms in the United States.
Under the contract, Prysmann will supply U.
S.
offshore wind development company Vineyard Wind with 134 km of subsea high-voltage AC cable, consisting of two 220 kV three-core cables, to be produced by Prysmann Group's centres of excellence in Finland and Italy, with offshore operations on its laying vessels Cable Enterprise and Ulisse, with the expected delivery and commissioning of
the project in 2021.
In addition, Prysmann will offer PRY-CAM permanent monitoring solutions, including remote distributed temperature sensing (DTS) and state-of-the-art real-time thermal rating (RTTR) systems that collect and analyse data via an AI interface to generate automatic alarm signals
if a critical situation is detected.
PRY-CAM is the group's breakthrough technology that provides accurate and reliable in-depth information online, helping power asset owners increase uptime, asset longevity and safety while reducing maintenance costs and risk
