PITTSBURGH, United States, February 17, 2022 -- PPG (NYSE: PPG) announced today that it has been re-named to Fortune's "2022 Most Admired Companies" list

The list assesses the reputation of the world's largest companies in their respective industries and is regarded as the ultimate indicator of corporate reputation
.
PPG ranked third in the chemical industry, with an overall improvement over previous years, with eight of the nine scoring areas improving
.
Among them, PPG received the highest scores for innovation, management quality, financial soundness and product/service quality
.
This year marks PPG's 14th consecutive year on the list
.

More than 3,700 corporate executives, directors and securities analysts participated in the survey

In order to determine the industry rankings, practitioners rate companies from 1 to 10 in nine areas, including innovation, personnel management, corporate asset utilization, social responsibility, quality management, long-term investment, financial stability, product and service quality, and global competitiveness.
