Since December 7 last year, the coal storage of the national centralized power plant has continued to remain above
160 million tons.
On January 12, thermal coal stocks exceeded 162 million tons, which can be used for 21 days, 40 million tons higher than the same period last year, laying a solid foundation
for ensuring a stable supply of coal and a warm winter for the people.
According to the perennial pattern, December and January are the thermal coal consumption stage, and the coal storage of power plants will gradually decline, for example, after the peak of 160 million tons of coal storage on November 19, 2020, it will enter the stage of continuous consumption inventory in the heating season, and fall back to about
120 million tons in mid-January.
Since the coal storage in power plants reached a new high of 168 million tons on December 22, 2021, although the consumption of thermal coal fluctuated slightly, the current inventory has continued to remain above 160 million tons, far exceeding the previous level, indicating that the coal supply security capacity has been significantly enhanced
