According to the news on the ICIS website on August 28, due to strong demand, some factories have stopped production for maintenance, and the price of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) in the Russian market continued to rise in August .
Russian polyethylene
As the Angarsk polymer plant and Gazprom neftekhim Salavat stopped production for maintenance, the price of low-density polyethylene in Russia began to rise.
In August, due to strong demand and the simultaneous suspension of production and maintenance at three factories in September, the price growth momentum was significantly enhanced.
The Angarsk polymer plant stopped production for 30 days on June 22, and the start-up was postponed to August 3.
A similar situation occurred in Gazprom neftekhim Salavat.
Due to a shortage of ethylene, Kazanorgsintez reduced its production of low-density polyethylene in August.
Many sellers restricted spot sales in August, and prices were adjusted weekly.
September will be a difficult month for consumers, as three more factories have stopped production due to maintenance.
Ufaorgsintez will first stop production for maintenance from August 29, and the maintenance work is scheduled to be completed by October 6.
