Recently, Aboitiz Power, a major power company in the Philippines, publicly announced its imminent entry into the rooftop solar market
    through a new business unit.

The new company, called Aboitiz Power Distributed Energy, Inc.
(APX), is already considering completing several major solar projects
in Luzon and Visayas this year.

Back in 2016, the company first entered the solar market, building a large 59-megawatt San Carlos Sun (Sacasun) project
    in Negros Occidental, San Carlos.
Currently, AboitizPower's clean energy capacity for solar, geothermal, river hydropower and large-scale hydropower facilities reaches 1,272MW
    .

President of Aboitiz Power said, "We have been in the power industry for more than 80 years
    .
This market affirms our wealth of knowledge and technical capabilities, and we can also share our expertise and technology with customers
who want to enter solar energy.
