Indorama Ventures Completes $2 Billion Acquisition of Huntsman Assets

footprint into higher-margin integrated oxides, derivatives and specialty chemicals

The deal includes Huntsman's manufacturing operations
in Texas, Australia and India.
Indorama Ventures has acquired most of its operations in Port Neches, Texas, including a 235,000-ton blended feedstock cracker, a 1 million tonne ethylene oxide (EO)/monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant, and a propylene oxide/methyl tert-butyl ether plant, which also produces surfactants and amines
.
Under the transaction, Huntsman retained ownership
of its diethanolamine (DGA) plant in Nechis Harbor.
