PetroChina won the "Belt and Road" International Project Award

On November 9, the 2022 PMI (China) Project Management Award was officially announced, and the Babu Oilfield Complex Project of China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation (CPECC) stood out and won the "'Belt and Road' International Project Award"
.
This is the first time that the PMI (China) Project Management Awards has established this award, and it is also the highest award
won by a Chinese oil company in the PMI (China) Project Management Awards so far.

The UAE is a high-end market for oil and gas construction and an important node country
in the construction of the "Belt and Road".
The Babu project is the first mega-project won by PetroChina and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in February 2017 after signing the Abu Dhabi Onshore Oilfield Development Cooperation Agreement, and was listed as a key construction project
of PetroChina.

The engineering and construction company regards the Babu project as a new starting point for expanding the UAE market, a new model of China-Arab cooperation, and a new coordinate for opening up the international high-end market

After the unremitting efforts of all the employees involved in the project, on February 28 this year, the Babu project obtained the provisional acceptance certificate
on schedule.

After the Babu project is put into operation, it can increase the daily crude oil production of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company by nearly 100,000 barrels, and will have a far-reaching impact
on the UAE's "development strategy for the next 50 years" and the sustainable development of China-Arab energy cooperation.
