According to the ICIS website, September 10, according to a press release on Thursday, Brazil's national chemical company has begun commercial production at its new polypropylene (PP) plant in La Porte, Texas

The new plant will produce 450,000 tonnes of polypropylene per year, including a broad range of products in the polypropylene portfolio, such as homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers

On-site construction began in October 2017 and mechanical completion was completed in June 2020
.
