    Dubai-based materials portfolio company Pearl Covestro Polyurethane Systems LLC (soon to be renamed Pearl Polyurethane Systems) has launched a new R&D program in the Middle East to develop an improved continuous sandwich panel concept with the aim of continuously bringing groundbreaking breakthrough new product

    The goal of the program is to investigate new solutions for continuous sandwich panel production in order to achieve an overall improvement of up to 20% in insulation performance compared to the current industry standard

    Part of the research will develop alternative blends of pentane and other additives using greener fourth-generation liquid blowing agents

    The initiative framework calls for solutions in six main areas: sustainability, improved fire safety, improved insulation, durability, economy and ease of use
