The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) said in a statement that the construction of submarine cable infrastructure connecting Pakistan and France has been fully completed and is ready to be serviced
by Pakistan and East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) Cable International Network Ltd.
The 15,000-kilometre-long submarine cable will provide connectivity
from Karachi to Marseille, the statement said.
The cable has extended an additional 6,500 kilometers from Pakistan to Singapore, with trunk lines landing in Singapore, Pakistan, Kenya, Egypt and France, branching to the Maldives, Malta and Cyprus
, the PTA added.
The system adds ultra-fast, high capacity, low latency, and redundancy
to international connectivity in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan-Egypt section connects Karachi and Zafarana with a total length of 5,800 km
