During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country's energy development will enter a new stage.
This is the judgment made by the "my country's 14th Five-Year Plan Energy Demand Forecast and Outlook" issued by the Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center of Beijing Institute of Technology at the 2021 Energy Economic Forecast and Outlook Research Report Release Conference held on January 10.
The report predicts that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, my country's energy consumption elasticity will drop to approximately 0.
The report recommends to continue to improve the business environment and market competition environment, rely on competition to promote the development of renewable energy, and use the market to guide the choice of energy technology routes.
The simultaneous release of the "2021 International Crude Oil Price Analysis and Trend Forecast" predicts that the average price of Brent and WTI crude oil will range from US$44 to US$54/barrel and US$41 to US$51/barrel.
The author of the report, Professor Lutao Zhao, believes that in 2021, the international crude oil market demand will resume, supply will be under control, and supply and demand will be in a tight balance.
