Oracle has announced plans to power
its global operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025.
This sustainability commitment will encompass its facilities and cloud operations and builds on the company's existing sustainability priorities previously committed, including 100% renewable energy use
in all "next-generation" Oracle Cloud regions by 2025.
Oracle's European cloud regions are already powered by 100% renewable energy, and Oracle reports using 100% renewable
energy in 51 offices worldwide.
"Relying on renewable energy is an important step towards a more sustainable future," said Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle, "Oracle will always have the greatest impact on the environment by providing customers with technologies that reduce their carbon footprint, and this new goal reflects the shared values
of our customers, partners, and investors.

Oracle has also previously pledged to reduce e-waste, noting that it collected 2.
5 million pounds of decommissioned hardware assets in fiscal year 2020, of which 99.
