About one-sixth of Europe's total ethylene production capacity was at a standstill by the end of November, according to OPIS data cited by Chemweek, the ICIS-MRC website reported on December 4 in Moscow

Major units with reduced capacity due to maintenance or operational issues include: the 1.
31 million t/y Geleen and 940,000 t/y Moerdijk crackers in the Netherlands; the 865,000 t/y UK Wells 865,000 t/y ethane cracker.
The 625,000-ton-per-year Stenungsund plant in Sweden, the 400,000-ton-per-year plant in Porvoo, Finland, and the 310,000-ton-per-year Wesseling cracker in Germany

The Porvoo plant is expected to restart in early December
