Oman opens first polyethylene pipe factory

According to the MENAFN news agency on August 7, Oman established its first factory, which is used to produce reinforced polyethylene pip.

The polyethylene pipe plant was established by a joint venture between Oman and China consisting of Shanxi Hongdong Dujim Pipeline Company, Blue Ocean International Company and Daoud Alpha West Compa.

Work at the factory will take about 10-12 months to complete, with actual production likely to start in the third quarter of next ye.

The plant is expected to produce around 1,200 kilometers of reinforced plastic pipes a year and has the potential to double capaci.
