Mitsui Chemicals and SKC Polyurethane Co.

(MCNS), a joint venture between SKC of South Korea and Mitsui
Chemicals of Japan, announced the completion of
a new polyurethane system plant in Mexico.
The new plant is expected to expand MCNS' market share in Central and South America
.
The new plant is located in Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León in northeastern Mexico, and will mainly customize the production of polyurethane system materials, with an annual output of 20,000 tons
.
As a result, MCNS' production capacity increased to 720,000 tons
.
MCNS co-CEO Won Ki-don said the new Mexico plant will open the way for the company to enter the Central and South American markets, and MCNS aims to become a global polyurethane producer with $1.
