Recently, Dutch energy company Nuon signed an agreement to acquire three photovoltaic projects from Powerfield, the specific purchase amount has not been disclosed
.
As a subsidiary of Vontenfall, Nuon will complete all projects
in early 2019.
One of the projects, the largest PV project in Friesland, will have a total generation
capacity of 17MW.
The other two projects are spread across Coevorden and Gasselternijveen, with a generating capacity of 7MW and 3.
5MW
respectively.
The Director of the Vattenfall Large Scale Solar Project said: "We are very pleased with this acquisition, and both Coevorden and Gasselternijveen have received SDE subsidies and licenses
.
This means that we can also start building two solar parks
very soon.
The ultimate goal is to provide the first kilowatt-hour of electricity
online next year.

Powerfield's CFO added: "We are proud to partner with Nuon, which confirms that PowerField has established a good land location and therefore we are making a relevant contribution
to sustainable development in the Netherlands.
”
Earlier this year, Nuon announced plans to develop a 70 MW PV portfolio
at six wind farms in the Netherlands.
