    Hickory, NC, USA, February 26, 2020: Nordson Corporation today held a ribbon-cutting ceremony announcing the opening of a fully equipped process laboratory that will serve pelletizing systems and melt transfer equipment for the Americas market

    The new laboratory is installed at the existing Nordson facility in Hickory, North Carolina, and its pelletizing line has a throughput capacity of up to 1,000 lb/hr (450 kg/hr)

    TM self-cleaning tempered water and particle drying system, as well as a vacuum cleaning oven for removing polymer residues from templates

    "The new BKG Technology Center is the latest example of Nordson's global commitment to serving the needs of existing and potential customers through state-of-the-art local laboratories


    ," said Kevin Tuttle, Americas business director.


    The lab allows current and potential customers to view BKG systems in operation to compare with competing products, evaluate new formulations, conduct application development and train equipment operators

    “The new Nordson BKG laboratory in Hickory allows customers and potential customers to conduct application development and test runs without compromising the productivity of their own factories,” said Merritt Christian, Manager of Market Development.
