Ningxia launches carbon peak carbon neutrality and sustainable development strategy research project

On July 8, the launch meeting of the "Ningxia Carbon Reaching Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development Strategy Research" project was held in Yinchuan

It is reported that the project is expected to complete four research tasks

Chen Fang, deputy director of the Ningxia Science and Technology Department, pointed out that as an underdeveloped area, Ningxia is still in the stage of rapid development of industrialization and urbanization.

Chen Fang emphasized that the preparation of Ningxia's carbon emission peaking action plan before 2030 has officially started, but there is no precedent for the "carbon emission peaking action plan".

It is understood that the project takes the Ningxia Carbon Peak Action Plan (targets, plans, and implementation paths) as the basic framework, and takes Ningxia's economic and social development characteristics, energy supply-side and consumption-side structures, energy input and output across provinces, as well as energy, The history and trend of carbon emissions in industries, transportation, construction, land use, service industry, residential life and other sectors are the background; the goal is to connect and deepen the Ningxia Carbon Peak Action Plan, and to promote the continuous research on the policies and measures of the Ningxia Carbon Peak Action Plan; Based on the preparation of the carbon peaking action plan, the analysis of Ningxia's carbon peaking goals is deepened and the implementation path is optimized, and the organic connection between the Ningxia carbon peaking action plan and the carbon neutral strategy is the starting point of the research; Ningxia's energy, industry, transportation, construction Refinement and optimization of carbon peaking action paths in key areas such as , service industry, and residents’ life, strengthening and supplementing carbon peaking action paths in Ningxia’s characteristic fields such as land use (agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, etc.

At the same time, the project plans to set up five research topics to carry out research, one is to deepen the research on basic data related to carbon emissions in Ningxia and the carbon peaking action plan; the other is to promote the implementation of the Ningxia carbon peaking action plan.
