The recently issued Work Plan for the Control of New Pollutants in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region (hereinafter referred to as the Plan) proposes to give priority to the treatment of new pollutants in key industries such as chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing, petroleum processing, coal chemical industry, and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and then gradually extend to other industries
such as rubber and plastic products.

According to the work target, by the end of 2023, Ningxia will publish the first batch of priority chemical substances to be evaluated, and complete the assessment of key chemical substances in the region; By the end of 2025, complete the environmental risk screening of chemical substances of high concern and high yield (use), and complete the environmental risk assessment
of a batch of chemical substances.

The relevant person in charge of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region said that Ningxia will strictly implement the national system and standards such as chemical substance environmental information investigation, new pollutant environmental investigation and monitoring, chemical substance environmental risk assessment and industry emissions, and strengthen the implementation of policies
