Nigeria is reportedly set to build a 30 MW solar power plant in Kaduna State, which was signed
with DLO Energy Group.
The development of the 30 MW solar PV plant is expected to begin next year and will generate enough electricity to supply households, including customers
of major local utility providers.
The energy generated is expected to be sold to Kaduna Power Supply, a local company responsible for distribution

The new contract complements the portfolio of the South African company, which has invested heavily in the continent
.
In addition to Nigeria, it is poised to provide a total of 300 MW of electricity
in several states.
The founder of DLO Energy said, "We are delighted to be working with our partners and the Kaduna State Government on this project

This is a great opportunity
to provide electricity to Kaduna.
This deal is an example of African solutions to African problems and, more importantly, it provides a real opportunity
for cooperation between South Africa and Nigeria.
