Nexans recently announced that it has signed a share purchase agreement with Reka Industrial to acquire Reka Cable

The acquisition will strengthen Nexans' position in Northern Europe, especially in the power distribution sector

Founded in 1961, Reka Cable Company mainly produces medium and low voltage cables
for various applications.
With a turnover of more than 160 million euros and 270 employees expected by 2022, the company is one of the market leaders in Finland, operating in four countries and benefiting from a reputation for quality in Northern Europe
.
In November 2021, it became one of
the first cable manufacturers to achieve carbon neutrality in the 1st and 2nd ranges.
Nexans will acquire Reka Cable for €53 million, including €6.
5 million in financial net debt
as of the end of September 2022.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in
the first half of 2023.
