Taiwan New Nikko has launched three new high-efficiency monocrystalline cell products, including N-type HJT battery "Hello 22", P-type PERC battery "Black 21" and P-type PERC bifacial battery "Black 21-BiFi", and has begun to provide customers with samples
.
PERC technology has advanced again
Black 21 is a mass-produced product of New Nikko, with an improved conversion efficiency of 21.
4%, lower light decay (LID) than traditional monocrystalline cells, and less PID problems, which can maintain stable power generation efficiency
.
Black 21 batteries can reach up to 315Wp and 375Wp
respectively when packaged into 60- and 72-cell modules.
The newly launched Black 21-BiFi series was launched
in anticipation of the trend that the visibility of bifacial batteries will continue to expand.
The conversion efficiency of the Black 21-BiFi battery can reach 20.
8% on the front and 15% on the back, and the overall battery conversion efficiency is equivalent to 23.
9%.
Packaged into 60- and 72-cell modules, the output power can be increased to 335Wp and 405Wp
.
New Nikko told EnergyTrend that these two products have begun to provide customers with sample reference, as long as customers think that they meet the demand, they can immediately start mass production and supply, and there are inquiries
between customers in Europe, the United States and Chinese mainland.
Taiwan's first HJT battery mass production line is ready
New Nikko announced in April this year that it has partnered with Taiwanese equipment manufacturer Jingyao Technology to start mass production of Taiwan's first monocrystalline heterojunction (HJT) cell in the fourth quarter of this year, with a tentative capacity of 50MW.
New Nikko named it "Hello 22" and published technical details
.
Hello 22 is a 6-inch N-type monocrystalline HJT cell with a maximum conversion efficiency of 22.
2%; Packaged into 60- and 72-cell modules, the output wattage is as high as 325Wp and 390Wp
.
HJT batteries have better LID and better high temperature coefficient performance, so the actual power generation benefit can be equivalent to 348Wp and 417Wp general P-type components
.
HJT is the industry's optimistic technology to become the next-generation efficient mainstream technology, the current global actual production capacity or development plan is not much, mainly for Japan Panasonic, the United States SolarCity, Chinese mainland GCL Integration and Shanxi Jinneng and so on
.
New Nikko said that after Taiwan's first 50MW HJT production line is put into mass production, it will observe the reaction of the market to determine the next expansion plan
.
Continue to develop downstream
In terms of capacity layout, New Nikko said that there is currently only one 60~100MW module factory left in Taiwan, part of which is the capacity resold by AEON to New Nikko, and the rest of the Taiwan module production capacity has been closed
.
Due to the low capital requirements for setting up a module factory, New Nikko chose to purchase new equipment for overseas production capacity, and the production efficiency and product quality will be better
than the old production line.
Overseas module manufacturers will give priority to packaging their own batteries
.
New Nikko is also actively expanding its downstream power station business, and it is expected that 100~200MW power stations will be completed and put into operation in the second half of this year, including the Dominican 67MW power station
to be built in two phases.
As for whether it will own and operate the power station in the future, or resell it, New Nikko said that it will depend on the actual buying and selling conditions, but reserves the space
for selling and owning.
