The HD Flex™ 2.
0 cable cabling system is officially released
.
Recently, Panduit, a leading global provider of data center solutions, launched this new optical cable cabling system
.
HD Flex™ 2.
0 solutions enable data center owners and operators to focus on scalability, serviceability, and manageability
of existing and future data centers.
The HD Flex™ 2.
0 cable cabling system is designed to integrate easily with existing fiber infrastructure, accommodating fiber boxes and fiber adapter panels (FAPs)
with different port counts in the same innovatively designed fiber box and panel.
12-port or 24-port boxes and FAPs can be deployed in virtually any combination, enabling 144-fiber (LC) or up to 864-fiber (MPO) configurations
in a 1U space.
This solution seamlessly migrates ports from 10G to 25/40/50/100G in the same RU space without replacing existing fibers and can realize significant savings
.
Today's IT managers are tasked with consistently delivering higher and higher speeds while maximizing return on investment to control costs, according to Marc Naese, senior vice president of Panduit's Data Center Division
.
Panduit's breakthrough HD Flex™ cable cabling system does both
.
The system is designed to provide optimal serviceability and manageability, and is scalable, increasing density
as business requirements evolve.
The HD Flex™ 2.
0 cable cabling system also points a clear path to Cisco's Nexus* 9000 Series Switches, as well as ACI* 40Gig and spine-blade branch architectures
, through a reliable physical infrastructure.
With 12-port boxes, only minimal installation and testing costs are required when fewer boxes per RU are required for rack space
.
Panduit's HD Flex 2.
0 cable cabling system is available for immediate delivery and can be easily integrated with current and future systems with a full line of fiber boxes, patch panels, cable managers, and RU-less bracket products, so end users can easily deploy HD Flex™™ boxes and FAPs
anywhere in the organization.
