New Caledonia, located in the South Pacific, has announced the resumption of a tender process for a new international submarine cable to Fiji, with a deadline of July 31

According to reports, the submarine cable system will also connect the domestic Ouemo to Lifou, with a total budget of about 42 million US dollars, the initial design is a single pair of fiber-optic cables to connect Nouvel in New Caledonia with the Suva submarine cable landing station in Fiji's capital, and provide a branch path to Vanuatu, with a total design capacity of 200Gbps
