This is the result of a recent in-depth benchmarking analysis by lithium-ion technology supplier CUSTOMCELLS® for BASF Europe

This analysis tested Licity® water-based anode binder (styrene-butadiene emulsion binder) products in the areas of processability, mechanical properties, and electrochemical performance

The analysis results show:
● All Licity® binders exhibit excellent processability for faster slurry preparation and improved coating uniformity of anode active materials

● Comparing tests with commercially available general-purpose styrene-butadiene emulsions show that Licity® 2668 and Licity® 2680 have excellent mechanical properties

● Licity® binder exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, enabling silicon-containing anode (SiOx) with excellent cycling stability and rate capability
