According to the Himalayan Times, Nepal will build the country's largest solar power project
.
Currently, the project has started in Trishuli, Nuwakot
.
It is initially expected that the government and Nepal Electricity Authority will fund the 25 MW project, which will cost about NT
$4 billion.
In addition, the World Bank will provide concessional loans
.
NEA executive director Kulman Ghising said the project, scheduled to be completed in a year, will be built
near the Devighat hydropower hub.
Upon completion of the project, the electricity produced will be connected to
the national grid.
