For the first time, Tom Ford has equipped the latest watch model in its Ocean Plastic collection with an automatic movement
The watches feature a rotating bezel, Super-LumiNova coated numerals and hands, a Swiss-made automatic movement with date function, sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown that contributes to 100-meter water resistance
.
The project also looked at the supply chain behind the watch, ensuring that the transport of ocean plastic particles is carbon neutral, and the "material compounding process" in Switzerland is powered by solar energy
.
The watch currently sells for $1,495 on Tom Ford's website
