China's coal-dominated resource endowment determines that coal-fired power will still play an important role in ensuring China's energy and power security for a long period of time
This is what Yu Bing, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, said on the 24th at a typical case and technology promotion conference for the "three reforms and linkages" of coal-fired power across the country
Yu Bing introduced that with the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in China, the pace of clean and low-carbon transformation of the power system will be further accelerated.
"In 2021, China's coal power consumption per kilowatt-hour is about 305 grams.
Yu Bing said that under the current technical conditions and installed capacity structure, coal power is the most economical, feasible, safe and reliable resource for flexible regulation, which can promote the development of renewable energy while improving the ability to ensure power supply
The National Coal Power "Three Reforms Linkage" Typical Cases and Technology Promotion Conference was entrusted by the National Energy Administration to hold the General Electric Power Planning and Design Institute in Beijing on the 24th.
