Sinochem New Network News recently, methanol-to-olefins (MTO) and its downstream industry chain green development alliance was established in Guangzhou

The alliance was jointly initiated by Sinopec Guangzhou (Luoyang) Engineering Company, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Levima New Material Technology Co.

The alliance aims to further promote the transformation of high-tech achievements in the low-carbon olefin industry and the development of high-tech industrialization, promote the opening and sharing of scientific and technological resources, form a wide range of multi-level innovative cooperation mechanisms, and continue to improve the green development level of MTO and its downstream industrial chain

At the inauguration meeting of the alliance, Liu Zhongmin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of the Dalian Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was elected as the honorary chairman of the alliance, and Dalian Institute of Physics, Sinopec Guangzhou (Luoyang) Engineering Company, and Levima New Materials were elected as the chairman units of the alliance
