Morocco is studying the construction of floating or land-based facilities at several of the country's ports to import liquefied natural gas (LNG), Morocco's Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Lila Benelli said recently

Morocco's natural gas demand is about 1 billion cubic meters per year, and it depends on an Algerian gas pipeline, Benelli said

"It is important for Morocco's energy sovereignty to have LNG regasification capacity onshore and offshore," Benelli said.
