Mondi partners with Thimonnier to develop recyclable liquid refill bags

Global packaging and paper supplier Mondi has joined forces with French machinery supplier Thimonnier to develop a recyclable packaging that reduces plastic waste

The two companies have designed a new liquid refill bag package that can be completely emptied
.
The bags are made from recyclable single material, co-extruded PE
.
This lightweight plastic bottle alternative reduces plastic usage by over 75% and replaces the current industry standard multilayer PVC replenishment container, which is virtually non-recyclable
.

The bag has a distinctive shape and is very eye-catching
.
The durable and leak-proof solution allows consumers to smell the product inside, a particularly useful feature for the liquid soap it is meant to protect
.
Lightweight materials also facilitate the use of customers
.
