On July 16, MMG, an Australian subsidiary of China Minmetals Group, issued an announcement that the company raised its annual copper production target by 3,000 tons, and currently plans to produce 171,000-186,000 tons
of copper in 2015.
In the second quarter of 2015, MMG's electrolytic copper production was 42,369 tons, an increase of 16%
year-on-year.
This helped MMG produce electrolytic copper in the first half of the year to 83,727 tons, an increase of 10%
year-on-year.
In addition, the company's zinc concentrate production in the second quarter increased by 16% to 157665 tons
from the same period last year.
Zinc concentrate production in the first half of the year was 286144 tons, an increase of 6%
year-on-year.
