On April 25, 2016, Toshiba Mitsubishi Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) announced that it has received an order
for the first new Samurai series solar photovoltaic inverter from Juwi Corporation of the United States.
The 30 MW Bison solar PV project at JUWI, Wellington, Colorado includes 12 Samurai inverter series 1,500Vdc, 2,700 kW/2,700 kV inverters
.
The PV plant in Northern Colorado, which can meet the annual power consumption of about 7,800 homes, will come on stream
in the third quarter of 2016.
Donn Samsa, General Manager of Renewable Energy at TMEIC, said, "We are delighted to have the opportunity to supply our latest Samurai series of PV inverters
for the Juwi Colorado Bison Solar Project.
”
In 2015, several Juwi solar projects chose Mitsubishi Electric inverters
.
The Bison PV project is the first order
for Mitsubishi Electric's 1,500V inverter.
The new 1,500V PV inverter is based on the patented multi-stage inverter technology of the Samurai series and achieves optimal
efficiency.
The series also offers flexible DC input configurations to accommodate complex array configurations, providing an advanced hybrid cooling system
for desert environments.
