    According to GlobalData's electricity database, tender activity related to power sector projects in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region grew 2 percent in August, with 83 tenders announced, compared to a quarterly average of 81 over the past 12 months

    The report notes that growth is mainly driven
    by transmission and distribution (T&D).

    In terms of national tenders, the Middle East issued 11 tenders, of which Oman alone accounted for 7, accounting for 8.
    4% of the MEA regional share; Iraq issued six tenders, while South Africa issued 38 tenders last month, with a share of 45.
    8 per cent, an increase of 9.
    5 per cent over the previous month and a 65 per cent increase compared to the average of the past 12 months, followed by Kenya with seven tenders with a share of 8.
