Moray East has signed a conditional agreement with MHI Vestas Offshore to supply and install 100 MHI Vestas V164-9.

Back in October 2017, it announced the selection of MHI Vestas as the turbine supplier
of choice for the Moray East offshore wind project.
Back in May, Moray East announced Fraserburgh as the preferred port
for operation and maintenance of the project.
Moray East's project director said, "This agreement follows the selection of MHI Vestas as the preferred turbine supplier, from which Fraserburgh will operate and maintain
the turbines.
I am grateful for working with our industry partners, which will bring the project to another important milestone

MHI Vestas' CEO said, "With this conditional agreement, we are very pleased to see Moray East move one step
closer to a final investment decision.

5 MW turbine is the world's most powerful commercial turbine through blade production on the Isle of Wight and the local offshore wind supply chain, which translates into clean energy jobs
locally and across the UK.
We look forward to working with the Moray East project to maximize its potential
