    Recently, Malakoff, Malaysia, a subsidiary of the TJSB-Zelleco Alliance, announced that it has secured a 29 MW renewable energy project with a 21-year operation and maintenance contract
    .

    The project was awarded
    in the first round of competitive tenders for large-scale solar (LSS) issued by the Energy Commission (EC).

    The TJSB-Zelleco consortium will comprise a special purpose operations and maintenance company to perform the services and obligations
    under the agreement.

    Malakoff's CEO said, "Due to its extensive experience
    in operating and maintaining power generation facilities locally and overseas.
    TJSB currently operates and maintains six power plants
    in Malaysia and three overseas.
    The agreement marks Malakoff's first foray into the operation and maintenance of renewable energy assets

    It also means that our operations and maintenance business has now expanded to include thermal, conventional and renewable energy generation

    Earlier, Malakoff signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Touch Meccanica Pte Ltd to jointly develop several renewable energy projects, notably large-scale solar PV and small hydropower plants
    in Dalum Pahang.
