Mondi has partnered with British multinational FMCG giant Reckitt Benckiser Group (RB) to launch a recyclable single-material plastic flexible packaging product for its Finish dishwasher tablet Quantum Ultimate
.

Mondi is the world's leading integrated plastics and paper packaging company with four divisions: Corrugated Packaging, Flexible Packaging, Engineered Materials and Uncoated Paper

According to reports, the Finish dishwasher tablet Quantum Ultimate previously used a non-recyclable multi-layer PET/PE laminated bag structure

With RB's commitment that 100 percent of its plastic packaging must be reusable or recyclable by 2025, the company decided to upgrade the packaging
.

“We worked closely with RB to find the best solution to make product packaging fully recyclable without sacrificing high-end look, feel and performance,” said Olivier Seux, Global Key Account Manager, Flexible Packaging Accounts at Mondi

"We carefully consulted the entire process and tailored the packaging to meet the exact needs of the customer
.

“As this is Finish’s high-end product line, the final stand-up pouch had to be rigid enough and smooth in appearance, with an ideal color match and high-end feel
.
Also, the packaging couldn’t have poor barrier properties, and It also needs to be paired with a recyclable zipper for easy packaging,
