Australian Securities Exchange-listed Macquarie Group Ltd has reportedly announced it will acquire a 90% stake in the northern Mexico solar power plant portfolio with a total capacity of 322 MW
.
Eosol Invest Mexico Uno, SL, a subsidiary of Spanish developer Eosol, will hold a 10 percent interest in the portfolio, the company said in a statement, but did not provide further financial details
about the deal.
All company-designated projects will be built
by Spanish EPC contractors TSKE Le Ctrónica and Electricidad S.

The portfolio includes two PV plants totaling 67 MW currently in operation, one 109 MW project under construction, and two other projects equal to 146 MW, the construction of which is scheduled to begin
by the end of this year.
Macquarie Group project leader added that the project under construction is funded
by Nacional Financiera SA.
The company also said some projects have been awarded PPAs between 15 and 20 years, but did not say whether the Mexican government selected the projects in RE auctions or whether the projects would sell electricity
on the spot market.
Macquarie acquired the first 22.
5 MW Parque Solar Coahuila photovoltaic power plant solar park
in Mexico in August 2017.
The facility provides electricity to the State Government of Coahuila and the municipalities of Tamoros and Torreón through a 15-year PPA, which can eventually be extended for another 5 years
.
The installation will also provide power to a Mexican company, with a 7-year PPA signed and a three-year extended service option
