    According to the memorandum of understanding, the joint venture company will build a new propylene glycol ether (PGE) plant in Zhenhai, Ningbo, China, which will be adjacent to the existing Lyondell Basel propylene oxide/styrene (PO/SM) joint venture plant to facilitate its Integrated upstream and downstream utilization of the main raw material propylene oxide


    Leander Basel said that Asia is a strategic area for the company, and as the economy grows, so does the demand for products


    The new device will use LyondellBasell's propylene glycol ether technology to produce 125,000 tons of products per year and is expected to start in the second half of 2023
