A recent collaboration between Avient Corporation of Avon, Ohio, and food processing equipment manufacturer Bettcher Industries of Birmingham, Ohio, resulted in Bettcher converting the support yoke for its Quantum Motor from metal to long-fiberglass thermoplastic (LFT)

Aiming to replace cast aluminum, the Avient and Bettcher team redesigned the support yoke, which can support a motor weighing up to 25 pounds to power a variety of meat-cutting tools
